La Vallée D'OLLE

Higher up, there are of course the mountain passes of Glandon and Croix de Fer, along the various historical tracks which follow the ever tumultuous border between Dauphiné and Savoie, at the time a province of the kingdom of Piémont-Sardaigne.

Further down where the Belledonne and Grandes Rousses mountains divide, the Eau d'Olle valley stands out with its forests of broad-leaved trees and conifers. This is a paradis for mushrooms and areas which constitutes a fantastic itinerary for discovering the area.

The Eau d'Olle valley also stands out strongly with the remarquable destiny of its waters.Lake

Here the uncontrollable torrents are replaced by the calmness of two major, damed lakes, where nautical activities have become as popular as they where unexpected in this valley.

In the winter, without losing an ounce of their traditinal spirit, the valley villages are lined to the Alpe d'Huez skiing area.

L'Eau d'Olle is lively and actractive all year roud.
